Punjabi University College, Ghudda is one of the constituent Colleges affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala under the 11th planning scheme of UGC (University Grants Commission). It is situated in a remote area of village Ghudda which is 25 km away from Bathinda towards Badal-Bathinda Road. Located in the vicinity of Central University of Punjab and Sports School, Ghudda, the College is spread over an area of 14 acres. The College premises comprises of three academic blocks, one administration block, sports stadium, a big library, an open air theatre, lush green lawns, canteen and a hostel for girls. The College is well linked by road with Bathinda city and nearby villages. With special permission PRTC runs two buses especially for the students from bus stand, Bathinda to College gate. The College is working leaps and bounds to improve these services further.
First session of the College started in 2011. The College offers B.A., B. Com., B.Sc. (Non-Medical), B.C.A., P.G.D.C.A., M.A. (Punjabi) and M.A. (Political Science) courses as of now. The College is also bound to involve students in co-curricular activities like Seminars, Conferences, Sports meets, Youth festivals, NSS, NCC, Community Service, etc.
Punjabi University College, Ghudda is equipped with qualified and competent faculty. Teachers keep on participating in various Seminars and Conferences to update themselves. There are numerous articles and research papers to the credit of faculty members. In-charge of the College is Dr. Kamaljit Singh (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Political Science).

It is the utmost duty of the government to make these essentials accessible to one and all free of cost. Education plays a significant role in the holistic development of one’s personality. An uneducated person remains ignorant and unaware of the concept of “healthy body and healthy living”. Education is preferred everywhere as it helps in overcoming these barriers of ignorance and unawareness.
Punjabi University College, Ghudda is established in the rural area of Bathinda with the aim of providing quality education at affordable cost. With the mushrooming of Private Universities, colleges and other institutes, it has become the need of the hour to make education available at the doorstep in cost-effective manner.
The College truly justifies the motto of “vidyavichari ta paropkari” of Punjabi University, Patiala. In its mission of helping India to be a better nation, the college is manifesting its selfless zeal by propagating quality education at affordable prices. The College is no less than a temple as it assures the access to knowledge in an objective and effective manner to its disciplined disciples.
I, as head of the institute and as a teacher as well, always try to be available for my students to facilitate them in their disciplined grooming and to resolve their queries as well. Once again, I welcome all the students for a new journey with us to be better learners and citizens.
